About the "Friends of Belgenny Farm"

The Belgenny Farm Trust invites you to help to preserve this invaluable, authentic, Australian property. Becoming a Friend of Belgenny also entitles you to free entry on Open Days.

Join the friends and be amongst a dedicated group of volunteers who help to make a success of the major special events each year - The Belgenny Farm and Heritage Day; Australia Day; Music, Food and Wine; and many other activities.

Thousands of people enjoy these exciting days and word is spreading about the significance of this oldest authentic group of operating farm buildings in Australia, constructed in the Georgian era.

What we dohorse shoes

Bloody duels, rebellion, grand ambition and visionary works were the ingredients of the story of one of Australias first family dynasties, who built an idyllic country escape on the citys edge.

This is a great opportunity to get a feeling for how everyone lived in the early colony. The pioneering couple, John and Elizabeth Macarthur, were major players in Australian history.

The Friends of Belgenny Farm act as tour guides for visitors, and host social get-togethers at barbecue lunches. Benefits include free entry to Open Days, the use at any time of the comfortable, modern Friends Room in historic Belgenny Cottage, and a newsletter.

Help tell all Australians about this remarkable place so they can share the authentic, unique experience.

'This is the real thing, not some mock-up - authentic buildings erected by the Macarthur family now restored, at the birthplace of Australia's agriculture' says actor Mark Stanham, who plays the role of John Macarthur alongside Kay Morrison as Elizabeth, on Belgenny Farms Tours and Open Days.
