Belgenny Farm is the ideal location for a school group that is looking to learn more about the history of agriculture, and some of the features of a working farm – situated right on the outskirts of Sydney. School students of all ages can learn about the shearing of sheep, working dogs and why Clydesdales were so important on the farms of yesteryear. All school programs at Belgenny Farm are administered and delivered by Camden Park Environmental Education Centre (www.camdenpk-e.schools.nsw.edu.au). Camden Park EEC offers a range of in-school and fieldwork programs for K-12 utilising various sites. As part of the NSW Department of Education and Training, priority is given to students and teachers of public schools, although some programs may be available to private schools by negotiation.
